In October 2020, Alex & his co-founder (Austin Rief) sold a majority stake of Morning Brew to Business Insider for a reported $75 million.
Today, Morning Brew provides quick and digestible business content to more than 3 million users, successfully changing the way young professionals engage with the business world. The company’s offerings include a daily newsletter, a bi-weekly lifestyle newsletter, three industry-specific newsletters (in Emerging Technology, Retail & Marketing), a tri-weekly narrative-style podcast (hosted by Alex) and a bi-weekly interview podcast (hosted by Alex).
Alex is a 2020 AdAge 40 Under 40 award recipient, 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 award recipient, UJA Global Marketing Industry Visionary award recipient and has been featured in publications ranging from Business Insider to the TODAY Show to Digiday. Alex is also the host of a custom branded podcast for Fidelity Investments, and is a regular speaker at major industry conferences like AdWorld, Advertising Week, SXSW, and ASCENT.
